Holographic microscope investigating enceladus

ASTROBi is developing a low-cost astrobiology mission to Enceladus, a moon of Saturn that is spewing plumes of water into space. The mission will send a small orbiter to fly through the plumes and collect ice grains. The grains will then be melted in a closed chamber and transferred to a holographic microscope for analysis. The goal of this project is to prototype a flight-like (but not necessarily flyable) microscope suitable for this mission.
